Unwind from a long day with gentle stretches to open the chest and shoulders.
Stretching with a foam roller is a nice way to add variety into your stretching routine and all of these stretches are pretty passive and feel liberating for your upper body.
These relaxing stretches are great before bed or after a long day at work. So many times we push hard, but taking for some relaxing foam roller stretches will really help you recover from more intense workouts.
Because we will be stretching the chest and shoulders, these foam roller stretches for posture and you will leave this short stretching sequence feeling uplifted.
You can use a full foam roller or a half foam roller for more stability. Just make sure you are laying on the roller from your head to your pelvis. In a pinch you can even use a rolled up towel or do these stretches on the Pilates mat with no extra equipment. (Using a foam roller will let gravity do the work for you and the stretch will be a little deeper.)
